Enclave in the Marina Bay district, Chez Petit Salut is the place to enjoy classic French cuisine. This restaurant have a unique allure that draws you into its comfort gently. At lunch time, the restaurant is crowded with professionals having a meal.

We have been walking past the restaurant umpteen times but did not dine there. Today, we finally have the opportunity to try it. We ordered two starters, one soup, and finally, two mains. The total amount spent for the two of us was S$221.00. It was worth it!

White Peach Nectar juice was delicious. You may order it.

We were served with multi-grain bread. When served, the bread was pipping hot. The nice aroma of sesame seeds with butter spread was yummy! I had two servings! :P

Pan seared Hokkaido scallops, fennel puree, pomegranate, and citrus dressing is a must. For the last couple of days, we craved for pan-seared scallops. We ordered it as soon as our eyes caught it in the menu. The scallops were lightly salted and perfectly cooked. The citrus dressing added that oomph! When I put the scallop into my mouth, all my senses awoke. The citrus dressing, pomegranate and sweet scallops complemented one another. It was superb. Food Rating: 4/5

Pan seared foie gras, caramelised apple and grapes and balsamic vinaigrette is another starter that you must order when you are dining at Chez Petit Salut @ Marina Bay Financial Centre. Although I am neutral to foie gras, this goose liver was perfectly cooked. The lightly salted foie grass was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The salad with balsamic vinaigrette was a perfect combination. I actually enjoyed this dish immensely. The caramelised apple and grapes were delicious. This dish is a must-try! Food Rating: 4/5

The Traditional French onion soup with melted Gruyere crouton will melt you away. The onions were sweet and the melted Gruyee crouton added the tint of saltiness to the soup. I loved the generous serving of cheese and I enjoyed pulling the melted cheese from my mouth. However, after a couple of mouthfuls, the cheese might have made the soup more salty. Overall, the soup was really delicious! Food Rating: 4/5

Pistachio crusted roasted rack of lamb, root vegetables and rosemary jus was marvellous. The lamb was cooked medium. The nicely toasted pistachios was delicious. I tasted a tint of wasabi in the pistachios. The lightly roasted lamb was wonderful. The meat was tender and juicy. When you chew on the meat, you can taste the sweetness of the lamb rack. I enjoyed it. Actually, after the soup, I was almost full. (Food Rating: 4/5)

Butter poached lobster tail, creamy risotto and lobster froth, and fresh herbs was fantastic. I loved it too. The lobster was perfectly cooked! The creamy risotto was equally delicious. I could not describe how delicious the dish was. However, after a couple of mouthfuls, both of us felt that the dish was too rich and a little overbearing. So, it is best to share the dish.
